👾 The Game We're Making 👾
Superpower of the Song is developing an original indie game called Thwapper—about an octopus with an anger problem who makes a discovery. It’s one piece of a larger journey I call Documented Healing.
This game lives at the intersection of story, sound, and inner transformation. It’s a creative experiment in emotional truth—a space where healing doesn’t have to mean talking it out. It can feel like play, pattern, and ritual.
I’m early in development and sharing the process as it unfolds. This game isn’t separate from my other offerings—it’s part of the same current that moves through my writing, sound healing work, and piano teaching. All of it stems from a desire to listen closely to what life is asking of us.
If you’re curious about the deeper story behind this project, you can read more on my Substack, Documented Healing—where I share raw reflections, personal essays, and behind-the-scenes glimpses of what it means to create through transition.
This game is one way I’m reclaiming joy, presence, and a sense of belonging in my body—and I hope it becomes a portal for others, too.
🎮 Our Design Philosophy
At Superpower of the Song, we’re building a game rooted in healing, play, and emotional truth.
Instead of traditional gameplay loops, we focus on:
🌀 Play as Healing – exploration, rest, and ritual are core mechanics
🧭 Emotion as Navigation – feelings guide the story more than goals do
🔔 Ritual as Mechanics – music, memory, and sensory acts are meaningful actions
We believe in slow games. In soft tension. In the kind of magic you remember when you pause.
This isn’t a game about escaping life.
It’s a game about coming home to yourself.
